Moving on to more important matters, I’ve announced the Prize Winners for the months of June and July, so congratulations to all the winners and thanks for supporting this domain! But don’t fall asleep just yet, we have a long way to go before we turn this domain into a record, and your prize into cash, so keep the support going! Also, I’ve had to remove the “Merchandise” and “Register a Domain” monthly prizes as they did not conform to Sweepstakes laws, so I’ve increased the Tell-a-Friend monthly prize to $10,000 and pooled the rest into the Miscellaneous Prize pool which will feed cool future competitions (see below).
I've "hired" two previous prize winners to help me out with a few things. Howard (“Latino-Dragon” in the Forum), whose support so far has been unmatched, will be the new Prize Winners' Liaison to help keep the team of prize winners closely-knit so we can squeeze the most juice out of their support. Judy (“LunchBreakShopping” in the Forum), will be the Charity Manager in charge of finding suitable charities for the $4,000,001 charity giveaway. This is an important area that I have not had much time to work on but that is incredibly important to this project. The idea is to find charities that could really use the money, and in turn ask them to support this domain so that we can break the record as soon as possible and have all the prize and charity money paid out. So a BIG thanks to Howard and Judy for their support!
Now in September I will be launching a YouTube Viral Video competition to find the coolest, wittiest, and most daring video that will advertise this domain to the masses. The idea is for people to compete in making the coolest YouTube video EVER that will advertise this domain in some unique way so that the winning video will spread through the internet like wildfire as friends pass it on to each other, advertising this record-breaking domain along the way. Of course, there will be a massive prize for the winner. There are some YouTube videos out there that have had over 30 million viewers ("Evolution of Dance" anyone?)...I repeat...30 million viewers. A video THAT good would advertise this domain to an equal number of people, propelling it into the mainstream of internet media. Stay tuned in September for more details. I’m also fixing up the webpage a bit, so you will notice a few changes and cool additions in the coming weeks. For example, I will be adding a Newsletter feature so that anyone can join my mailing list and be kept abreast of what’s happening in this crazy record-breaking world.
